This painting attempts to depict the complex identities taken by the disease from an Oncologist's perspective. As an Oncologist the artist tries to understand cancer close up in the controlled environment of a trial or lab, and in the wider context of the patients she sees in the clinic with their unique socioeconomic situations and exposures.
