Histological and functional aspects of alpha-synuclein in neurodegeneration
Abstract
The recent discovery of the contribution of alpha synuclein in the auditory system prompted further investigation of its functional role. Auditory brainstem response (ABR) and immunohistology were completed on wild-type and M83 transgenic mice to assess the role of alpha synuclein in response to paraquat induced oxidative damage in the cochlea.
