The Record was published on a monthly basis, except for the eight months after it initially began publication, when it was published on a bimonthly basis. It was primarily a news source for and about the employees of Barnes Hospital and affiliated hospitals. At the time of the Record’s final publication in 1965, these affiliated hospitals included Barnard Hospital, St. Louis Maternity Hospital, McMillian Hospital, Renard Hospital, and Wohl Hospitals and Clinics. For four years, the Record also included an annual issue focusing on the Dietary Department at the Hospital.
