The Diversity Initiative is a partnership between the Washington University Human Research Protection Office Diversity and Disparity Task Force, Washington University Campus Diversity Collaborative, and the Missouri History Museum and its community contacts. It brings together 3 distinct groups to work together to enrich the academic and community partnership, increase communication between the community and academia, and strengthen community-academic ties. In meetings its objectives, this diversity initiative raises awareness of diversity issues that may impede partnerships, communication, and trust amongst the groups and provide a venue where these issues can be explored and discussed.
