A fluorescence movie showing translocation of UvrD on a long ssDNA in real time. The ssDNA molecule is not visible but laid vertically in the center of the movie, with its 3′-end at the top and its 5′-end at the bottom. Raw data from an EMCCD camera (2 bytes per pixel) were converted to 8-bit color images for better contrast. Beware that some video renderers automatically smoothen the movie.
