Notes
In this inaugural meeting of the SciComm Journal Club, the group discussed Misinformation in and about science and other works by Carl Bergstrom and Jevin West (University of Washington). We explored the practices that lead to misinformation in the scientific enterprise, including hype, echo chambers, citation bias, and predatory publishing, and reflected upon what can be done to combat them.
