Description

Joanna Wang is a medical student. She shared personal artwork centered around her interest in the intersection of art and medicine.

This artwork acknowledges the different perspectives that incoming medical students bring to their patient care. As both a medical student and patient, the artist aims to recognize how implicit biases based on her illness experience could affect patient care. The artist also aims to value the sense of humanity it allows in bridging the gap between studying a disease and living it.
